A classic 2.5-liter inline-4 engine is paired with Nissan’s fourth-generation continuously variable automatic gearbox (CVT) for increased acceleration and economy. The combination achieves up to 30 miles per gallon combined.
The interior is quieter as a result of a redesigned platform and chassis that assist in decreasing engine and road noise. At highway speeds, the Rogue is kept in check with an independent rear suspension and more solid mounts. The 39.3 cubic feet behind the second row remains the same, but second-row passengers lose an inch of leg room. A two-tiered storage floor may be flat when the chairs are down or can be lowered approximately three inches for deeper storage. It scores a point for luggage space and has rather comfortable front seats, earning it a 7.
The rear doors open almost 90 degrees, making it extremely easy to enter and exit the vehicle with kids’ safety seats, four-legged pals, or more goods. Although the standard S seats are disappointing, the SV model has an eight-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support. The driver’s seat is comfortable, although the console limits the amount of room available for stretching out the right leg during cruise control. The Rogue’s roominess is enhanced by clever packaging despite its diminutive dimensions. A more compact electronic shifter has replaced the gear shifter in the center console that looks and operates like a broken joystick from an ’80s arcade game.

The 2024 Nissan Rogue begins at $26,745 for the entry-level S variant with front-wheel drive. The car comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, a lot of standard driver aids, and an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
At $28,335 with power front seats, wi-fi, adaptive cruise control, and remote entry, the Rogue SV is our favorite. The Rogue SL adds leather memory front seats and a sunroof, but the top-of-the-line Platinum grade, which is new for 2024, includes wireless Apple CarPlay, a Bose sound system, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for $36,525.
